Eliane Kinsley - sharing stories live

Eliane has been bending people’s ears about her grandmother since she was a teenager. Now with more perspective, she brings those stories to the stage and into the classroom.

Students in college English classes she visits are encouraged to tell their own stories, inspired by what they learn from hers.

“I love hearing about how someone’s Nonna learned English, how another’s father escaped deportation, or another decided to ask their mother for details on her past. There is nothing quite as rewarding as hearing that a story I told strengthened connections in someone else’s family”.
